Our regular education night happens to fall on Witch Hallow”s Eve this year. The lodge was open as usual, but we weren”t quite prepared for the arrival of our unusual visitor. By some strange wrinkle in time – the King of Tyre dropped by to check on the progress of his workmen.

To relieve the distressed is a duty incumbent upon all men; but particularly on Masons, who are linked together by an indissoluble chain of sincere affection.  Our Masonic brothers in the Philippines are distressed. I have reached out to Solidarity & Freedom lodge to see what we can do to help them help our brothers…

Eight brothers visited  Memorial Lodge Thursday, September 5th and was treated to an excellent lecture of the Fellowcraft Stairway.    Topics new to us involved the connection with the modes of music – notably the Doric (Dorian) and Ionic (Ionian) The lecture also included fascinating references to Greek Allegories – most especially Plato’s Allegory of the Caves….
